“God doesn’t come and go. God lasts. He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch His breath. And He knows everything, inside and out. He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall. But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, they run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind.” (Isaiah 40:29-31) We’re limited. He’s limitless. We can be weary. He never grows weary. We can be weak, but even what seems like the “weakness of God is stronger than man's strength” (1 Corinthians 1:25). What do all these mean? They urge us to stay near to Jesus. No matter the situation or an outcome, God lasts! “God doesn’t come and go. God lasts.” The best of human strength is weak.
Paul saw this in his time of bleakness. Things were so hard on them and everything looked so dark. He said: “It was so bad we didn’t think we were going to make it. We felt like we’d been sent to death row, that it was all over for us. As it turned out, it was the best thing that could have happened. Instead of trusting in our own strength or wits to get out of it, we were forced to trust God totally—not a bad idea since He’s the God who raises the dead!” (2 Corinthians 1:9). He learned to wait on the Lord, to trust Him and God came through. God’s faithful. God lasts. BeEncouraged❤️ Freely Received. Freely Share
