“Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth— everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made (Isaiah 43:5-7)

The beauty of every software is this: it has been programmed to achieve its purpose. It has a set of procedures or modules, that allow for certain types of computer operation. God, the Great Programmer, said to the Israelites: “But now, this is what the Lord says - He who created you, Jacob, He who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are Mine” (Isaiah 43:1). God declared that He made them for His glory! The unsearchable riches of God’s grace! Peter reveals this mindset of God to the elect saying they had been “chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father” (1 Peter 1:2). The NLT version says: “God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and His Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed Him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ.”

Paul said: “But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by His marvelous grace.” At this gracious insight, he said: “When this happened, I did not rush out to consult with any human being” (Galatians 1:15-16). Instead, he consulted his Programmer! We should likewise embrace the same. We’re programmed in Christ for God’s glory, and we will become. Amen.
