Leave Them There 😇✨

“So, here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Leave all your cares and anxieties at the feet of the Lord, and measureless grace will strengthen you” (Psalm 55:22)
Leave them there! Peter re-echoed these same words saying: “Pour out all your worries and stress upon Him and leave them there, for He always tenderly cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). Leave them there. It’s actually pride that urges us not to leave them there. Peter earlier said (1 Peter 5:6): “If you bow low in God’s awesome presence, He will eventually exalt you as you leave the timing in His hands.”
Pride doesn’t want to acknowledge the timing of God for our lives. Pride says “‘I’ know what to do and now.” However, the rest we truly need comes from Him, when we take that lowly place before Him. There we will find His grace for everything. “But He continues to pour out more and more grace upon us. For it says, ‘God resists you when you are proud but continually pours out grace when you are humble’” (James 4:6). James says there must be a willingness to be made low. “Be willing to be made low before the Lord and He will exalt you!” (James 4:10). Jesus, sums it best this way: “Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant[t] and easy to bear” (Matthew 11:28-30).
