“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:17-19)

Such a lovely prayer that ends with “may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God!” If a man is filled with the fullness of God, it means there is no room for any kind of darkness, but light and its fruits (Matthew 6:22). I crave this fullness! This fullness of God comes as we continue to “grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ” and “to know this love that surpasses knowledge.” His love fills us with God. How may we grasp this love of God continually and be rooted in it? Jesus reveals to us in His prayer to the Father for His disciples: “I have made You known to them, and will continue to make You known in order that the love You have for Me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.” No wonder Paul desired: “That I may know Christ…” The more we know Christ, the more we know the Father, and the more we see His immense love for us and its tremendous power at work.

Jesus has promised to continue to make the Father known to us. Hallelujah! As we know Him, we understand the dimensions of His love, and we will love Him in return, love others and love the things He loves. Reveal the Father to us Lord Jesus!
