“Who then overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God” (1 John 5:5)

Praise the Lord! To the weary, the thirsty, the tired, the sinner, the poor, the needy, the weak, the wounded, come! Having Jesus is having every invaluable and long-lasting thing in the sight of God. 1 John 5:1 saying: “Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God.” God has a testimony about those who believe in the Son, a testimony greater than any human testimony. “And this is that testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:11-12). Hallelujah! Do you believe in the name of the Son of God? John declared: “I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:13). The consequence of this truth is confidence before God. 1 John 5:14 now says: “And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already possess what we have asked of Him.”

Everything this world may offer is at best a transient life that will fade away, but with Jesus, the Son, we have the overcoming and everlasting life, here and after. With Jesus, there is a fountain of life that never runs dry, coming from the very life of God to the one who believes (John 7:38)!
