"Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth, doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, so will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They’ll do the work I sent them to do, they’ll complete the assignment I gave them” (Isaiah 55:10-11)

Truth check: the words that God has spoken will NOT come back empty-handed. This is an act and a proof of God’s character so that our faith be unmoved. Genesis 1:2-4 says: “God spoke: ‘Light!’ And light appeared.” Again “God spoke: ‘Sky! In the middle of the waters; separate water from water!’ God made sky. He separated the water under sky from the water above sky. And there it was.” Again “God spoke: ‘Separate! Water-beneath-Heaven, gather into one place; Land, appear!’ And there it was.” This confirms again to us that His words will form where and how He has said it. Surely, our God is not double-minded or unsure of Himself. “God is not man, one given to lies, and not a son of man changing His mind. Does He speak and not do what He says? Does He promise and not come through?” (Numbers 23:19).

So, let’s look upon God’s faultless character. He will accomplish His word in His perfect time. He said to Abraham (Genesis 18): “I’ll be back about this time next year and Sarah will have a baby.” To Jeremiah, He said: “For I will watch over My word to perform it” (Jeremiah 1:12). Oh! Hear the message of God’s angel: "For no word from God will ever fail” (Luke 1:37). Hallelujah!
