“For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect” (1 Corinthians 15:9-10)

By humility and in truth of every word, Paul gave a clear summary of himself. He began by saying, he is the “least of the apostles” of Christ. Though he is an apostle yet he again says he does “not even deserve to be called an apostle” because he tormented the church that belonged to the same Christ that saved him. In 1 Corinthians 15:8, he said: “And last of all He (Jesus) appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.” He couldn't see anything about himself in the face of Christ, but he now boldly declares: “But by the grace of God I am what I am." All He now became, not some, was by this grace of everlasting God.

All we can ever be, full of the Lord, can only be by His grace which comes through Jesus (John 1:17). So, Paul resolved: “It’s more important for me to fulfil my destiny and to finish the ministry my Lord Jesus has assigned to me, which is to faithfully preach the WONDERFUL NEWS of God's grace” (Acts 20:24). He was so assured and he summed his life’s story with this advice: “And so now, I entrust you into God’s hands and the message of His grace, which is all that you need to become strong. All of God’s blessings are imparted through the message of His grace, which He provides as the spiritual inheritance given to all of His holy ones” (Acts 20:32). Glory!
