“Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on his opinions. For one person has faith to eat all things, while another, who is weak, eats only vegetables. The one who eats everything must not belittle the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted him” (Romans 14:1-3)

Our Father desires that we’re patient with one another in this journey of faith. It’s quite easy to tear down ourselves over disputable matters. There were disputes about certain foods to eat or not, even certain days considered some sacred than others. Instead, the Holy Spirit calls us to become mature, saying: “For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that He might be the Lord of both the dead and the living” (Romans 14:7-9).

While on earth, Jesus lived and walked with His disciples, who at the time understood little about God’s truths, yet Jesus didn’t despise or judge them. He groomed them. In Acts 18, a new convert Apollos preached to other what he knew, but “when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately” (Acts 18:26). So, let’s walk in love towards one another for “the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).
